Function of Proglumide
Proglumide is an antagonist of gastrin receptor, which can protect gastric mucosa and promote ulcer healing.
Proglumide used gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis (such as chronic superficial gastritis) and duodenal bulb inflammation.
Proglumide has been evaluated in the treatment of peptic ulcer disease, postoperative pain, Huntington's chorea, schizophrenia, gastric carcinoma, and colorectal carcinoma.
